Goal:

This mod adds a new summoning building chain to your throne city that provides rank bonuses to summoned units.
This mod is designed to pair with my ‘Trainer’ mod, with the goal of providing magic focussed civilizations a way to specialise in summoning higher ranked units and have them scale into the late game. This mod should make you feel like a powerful summoner if you’re able to make the large mana investment upfront, as well as help keep pace with harder level AI’s and infestations that can already produce units at high ranks, although they’ll also have access to the same buildings and benefits.

It achieves this through adding two structures tied to the Wizard Tower chain. Each building provides a +2 rank bonus to summoned units, with the first building boosting TI and TII units, and the second building boosting TIII and TIV units. This boost is provided as a player upgrade and will apply to units summoned anywhere, not just at the throne city. As this is quite powerful the building themselves require a heavy investment of mana to build.
The buildings are tied to the Wizards Tower upgrades and boosted by Conduit and Research Post province improvements. The intention is to reward a high investment and focussed play style, where the player is rewarded for committing to using summoned units as their primary military force. The mod follows the base game principles of ‘no drawbacks’ to building upgrades.

New Summoning Buildings:

Forbidden Shrine: (Unlocked by Wizard Tower: Level I, 100 Gold 400 Mana 450 Production, Boost with 2 Conduits and 2 Research Posts)
Summoned TI and TII units have +2 ranks

Ritual Circle: (Unlocked by Wizard Tower: Apex, 300 Gold 1200 Mana 1300 Production, Boost with 4 Conduits and 4 Research Posts)
Summoned TIII and TIV units have +2 ranks

Compatibility:

Only the base game is required.
This mod is compatible with all base game Languages.
This mod has its own .rpk and doesn’t add any new abilities to, or modify the base game.
All unit assets and text are copied from the base game.
As such this mod should be compatible with everything.
