Hurricane – Zero Industry Map
A completely original map that is not particularly hilly, has a broad river, and a mountain called Hurricane. No industry, 13 towns (er, I think), medium size. The lack of industry is intended to work with the Industry Tycoon mod – I created this map to be able to test out the idea of challenge scenarios. If you are curious, I put iron and coal up on the mountain and the challenge was to grow Hurricane, the city on the mountain, into the biggest city on the map by 1940. There are plenty of other challenges here, though, not least the steep banks of the river making life awkward, and terrain that, although flat-ish, undulates plenty around the river itself.
There is also a variant with hand-placed industry. I may possibly soon create a scenario for Hurricane and its slightly annoyingly positioned mine…

And just to make sure it’s plain: THIS MAP HAS NO INDUSTRY. If you do not have Industry Tycoon (the mod) installed, then this will be of literally no use to you unless you want to play a game without industry and just run bus/rail routes. Which might be fun, I suppose. I don’t know. To each their own. 😛
