Continuous Stage & Special Room Music
This mod makes the stage music uninterrupted when entering/exiting certain special rooms: Shops, Secret rooms, Super secret rooms, Libraries, Arcades. The music for these rooms is also uninterrupted.
Notes:
1. The mod does NOT work for: Ultra secret rooms, Devil/Angel rooms, Planetariums, Boss/Miniboss rooms.
The reason for this is that the mod is implemented by using layers, and as of now (Repentance v4.0.4) there seems to be no way to add more than 5 layers to a track (in addition to the default stage layer). Any attempt to enable a layer with ID > 5 will result in a game crash. So I had to choose which layers should be enabled. If you want to change the layer preference, make sure that the layer IDs are consistent with those of the mod’s music.xml file and that they aren’t greater than 5.
2. This mod is NOT compatible with other mods that change the music.xml file. Changing the files themselves inside the mod’s music folder is fine as long as you keep the names.
3. Be VERY careful when changing stages through the debug console, as the game might not load all layers, so entering a special room may play no music, and exiting and re-entering the game in this state will crash it. When this happens, find a default room and THEN re-enter the game. The same goes for R key restarts (both the real one and the item)
4. The fading rate for all layers assigned to a track is the same and can only be specified for the whole track. So now the default stage layers (especially on alt floors) sound a little weird and sudden since their default fading rate is too slow, and leaving it as it is would have resulted in the rest of the layers sounding much weirder.
5. I also cut the silent part in the beginning of the Corpse theme, to make it more continuous. It sounds a lot better now, though slightly distorting the rhythm during the looping transition.
