ST44-607, destroyed in 1980 disaster under Otłoczyn, when hauling freight train, driver Mieczysław Roshek due to fatigue, past hours of work "behing the wheel" and early morning hours, passed without permission under a semaphore displaying the "S1" Stop signal. The train departed being headed on the track, signed as opposite to direction of travel, and as it turned out drove right under the speeding passenger train. 67 souls were lost that day, and 64 people were left injured after the collision.
In memory of those who were killed and wounded.

Manual:
Step 1. Before start
– Go to Cabin A (front of locomotive), and switch on "Main Battery" and "Traction Motors Powerage". You should hear alarm go off, simply delete with " "Dead-Man" Check Delete" button.
– Go to engine room corridor (space between Cabin A and B) and switch all 4 fuel valves into open position.
Step 2. Start
MAKE SURE THE INFINITE AMMO IS OFF!
(In order to change from which Cabin, you control press “Control A” (default) or “Control B” in Cabin B)
– Pulse "Malfunction Indicator Reset"
– Pulse Oil Pump switch.
– Wait Few Seconds and pulse Fuel Pump switch.
– Turn On Water Heater
– Wait Few Seconds and pulse "Fast Cut Off" switch untill you hear the engine slowly kicking into life.
– Turn Off Water Heater
– Generator should kick in a few seconds right after the engine status changes to "Engine On".
Step 3. After start – prepare for route
– In order to gain "drive" ability, press "Cylinder Pressure Release" button, to fill the conduit and release the brakes.
– Perform “Brake Check procedure” by closing it. Pressure in conduit should drop and pressure in cylinder should raise. After successful check, open the valve, and use “Cylinder Pressure Release" button to loosen the brakes. (This is also how You will brake from now on.).
– If you previously set the handbrake, turn On “Release/Apply” switch and turn the lever a few times.
– (Optional) Choose D or R for forward drive or reverse drive (default D)
– (Optional) Turn on lights
– (Optional) Turn on radiotelephone and set channel, be sure to check radiotelephone 1-0-1!
Step 4. Driving.
– In order to drive, if on position 0 press "Position Up" once to go to position 1, or if on positions from 2 to 15, also move Drive adjuster wheel to position 1. Wait around 1-2 seconds until main circuit is closed. It is indicated by rise of amperage on "Traction Motors Amperage" gauges, and of course you’ll notice because you’ll start moving. Then player can add positions normally.
– Because of introduction of "Pressure Cut Off System" valve, and the "Linear Contactors Cut Out" everytime locomotive brakes are activated, by player or CA/SHP/Radiostop, or the Drive Adjuster Wheel is set back to 0, "drive" is gone, untill the Drive Adjuster Wheel is turned to position 1 for around 1-2 seconds, so the circuit can close.

– Turn On with flipswitch

– If there is emergency press "!RADIOSTOP!", stops your train and others
within proximity of 1000m on the same chanel
– To regain control and reset the alarm push "Reset" until alarm stops (about 10s)
WARNING! Resetting radiostop is individual for each unit with it equipped.
WARNING! Works only with units equiped with Radiotelephone.
