Israel is a land of milk and honey that was wrestled from Canaanites by Semitic wanderers. For millennia these Semitic peoples periodically shifted from nomadic traditions to urbanisation attempts to reform their tribes into kingdoms, but alas the weight of time would grind the Kingdoms of Samaria, Judah, Israel, (Hellenistic) Judea, and (Roman controlled) Judaea until eventually the Jews were scattered to the wind by the Romans who razed the holy Sanctum of the Jews in 70 AD. For centuries the survivors either lingered as they always did or migrated where they could. Eventually, waves of Ashkenazim (German and Slavic based) Jews migrated to the Old Yishuv (old homeland) in a collective effort to create a realm free of government and public pogroms. The horrors of the First World War attracted new waves of diasporic Jews to establish coloniae in the former Ottoman Palestine through the support of the British. Through the rising tension of the Interwar Period and the calamity of the Second World War, the migrations became more drastic and the Arab response became more aggressive. A State of Israel emerged in 1948 AD and it has been in struggle with the world stage, and with Jews anticipating the Messiah, since its founding.

- Trait – Iron Dome: Non-specialty districts grant their city +3 City Strength. Military units gain +2 Combat Strength when fighting adjacent to a specialty district, that is not a Diplomatic Quarter, Government Plaza, Preserve, or Spaceport, that was in the city they originated in when being produced. +50% Production towards Support class units. Units adjacent to an Anti-Air Support class unit gain +50% Experience from combat.
- Spawn Bias – Plains Hills/Desert Hills (Tier 3).
CIVILIZATION UNIT: MERKAVA
- Israeli unique Modern era Melee class unit that replaces the Modern Armour. Available at Combustion. Does not cost resources. +17 Combat Strength when in or adjacent to home territory.
CIVILIZATION IMPROVEMENT: KIBBUTZ
- Unlocks the Builder ability to construct a Kibbutz, unique to Israel. +1 Housing. Minor Food adjacency from Farms, becomes standard Food adjacency with Industrialization. Standard Food adjacency from Pastures and Plantations. Standard Food adjacency from districts, becomes minor Food adjacency and standard Production adjacency with Industrialization. Cannot be built adjacent to another Kibbutz.
CITY-STATE: KHALIL AL-RAHMAN
- Replaces Jerusalem.
- Religious; Suzerain’s cities with Holy Sites exert pressure as if they were Holy Cities (the same as Jerusalem).
