William the Conqueror Bookmark
Mod should now be 1.9 compatible
What the mod does:
This mod brings back the William the Conqueror bookmark that was present in Crusader Kings 2. As in CK2 the start date is the 26th of December 1066 allowing you to start a game post the Norman conquest.
Most of the required history is already in the game files but a few additions to England have been made. As of mod version 1.3 these additions are:
- Henry de Ferrers has been given the counties of Berkshire and Wiltshire
- William de Crepon has been given the county of the Isle of Wight in addition to his other holdings
- Edgar Ætheling has been given the county of Oxfordshire
- Walter Giffard has been given the county of Buckinghamshire (Not currently shown in pictures)
I have very little time to work on the mod currently so unless I get more free time don’t expect big changes. So far no changes have been made by myself outside England but should anyone find any errors or additional information such changes can be made
Compatibility:
- Currently when running this with the Community Flavour Pack the Bayeux Tapestry event doesn’t seem to fire automatically in my bookmark. I may need to make a tiny compatibility patch mod to get that to work but in the mean time I recommend putting "event cfp_title_event.0001"’ (without quotations) into the console to get the event to fire.
- The mod should be compatible with most other mods although mods that modify the history file for England may not be compatible.
- Achievements will be disabled
