What For Bad Items
This took an unexpected amount of work to make! As it turns out, pausing the game without actually pausing the game is kind of difficult, and it’s still a little janky, but it works, I guess ¯_(ツ)_/¯
This mod overlays that one stupid Earthbound meme over the screen whenever you walk into a room with a Quality 0 item.
After you’ve seen the joke more than once, there will also be a popup saying that you can press Space to return to the game. Though, to be clear, you can skip the joke even if it’s your first time seeing it.
Also, quick side story: half of the reason I was able to make this mod was because of a blog post that I found about the DDLC Repentance mod while Googling for answers, since it was literally the only source I could find for rendering images on top of the GUI.
