Subte de Buenos Aires
El subterráneo de Buenos Aires es el primer sistema de metro de Hispanoamérica y el primero del hemisferio sur. Inaugurado el 1° de diciembre de 1913, la línea A surgió de la necesidad de conectar dos puntos importantes para ese entonces de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, que era la casa de gobierno (Casa Rosada) con el congreso. Durante la primera década del siglo XX se expandío rápidamente. En la actualidad cuenta con 6 líneas que interconectan distintos barrios de la ciudad de Buenos Aires.
Los Siemens O&K, fueron el material rodante de las líneas construidas por la Compañía Hispano-Argentina de Obras Públicas y Finanzas (CHADOPyF) y desde entonces ha servido en todas las líneas del subterráneo a excepcion de la línea B que utiliza 3° riel.

The Buenos Aires subway is the first metro system in Latin America and the first in the southern hemisphere. Opened in 1913, Line A was created to connect two important points in the city of Buenos Aires at that time, which was the government house (Casa Rosada) with the congress. During the first decade of the 20th century it expanded rapidly. It currently has 6 lines that interconnect different neighborhoods in the city of Buenos Aires.
The Siemens O&K were the rolling stock of the lines built by the Hispano-Argentina Company of Public Works and Finance (CHADOPyF) and since then it has served on all subway lines except for line B.
