In 1957, the Great Northern retired their electric operations through the Cascade Mountains in favor of new diesels, resulting in a need to sell off surplus electric equipment. Their Y-1 locomotives were then sold to the Pennsylvania Railroad, where they were re-classed to the FF-2 and renumbered 1-7. This mod includes PRR units #1 and #2.
