IER 1500- 50th Anniversary
On January 13, 1974, IER M-15 class Mikado 1500 was steamed up by the IRM Steam Team for the first time in almost 13 years. In January 2024, 1500 will be traveling up to Union in celebration of the 50th anniversary of its restoration.
For this event, 1500 has been decked out with a beautiful scheme of Brunswick Green, white, and gold (the same gold as is on the old 1945 to 1965 logo). It will retain this scheme from now to February 2, 2024.
