Dwarf Workshop; Ikit’s Forbidden Workshop for Dwarfs
This mod adds Ikit’s Forbidden Workshop to all Dwarfs. However, I have to stretch everything and It will be not compatible with any mods that touch Forbidden Workshop at least you’ll suffer a serious immersion break.
Besides that everything is the same with Ikit’s workshop. I assure you, there will be lots of bugs, and I can’t guarantee it’ll work other than 5 major dwarf factions. So please DO NOT use this mod if you’re not playing the dwarfs. You might be able to play as Ikit with this mod turned on, but I don’t recommend it.
Also, if you’re going to use this mod, make a fresh new start. There are some parts that are done in the new game part.
And level-up indicator does not show missions.
Q. Why is it not compatible with other mods?
A. Most of the rituals in the game do not show locked rituals. (In Ikit’s case, the unit upgrade is the ritual) However, Ikit’s Forbidden Workshop shows all the rituals regardless of access. So, I have to hide some of the upgrades with the script, and I have to use location-based mechanics for some cases. Adding more rituals to the menu will break the script.
Furthermore, this workshop looks for all the resources the ritual uses, and will crash if the faction does not have them. So I have to give food, reactor, and nuke to dwarfs, and the Oathgold to Ikit. And hide them from your eyes by a script.
Q. Why is the workshop level indicator not working?
A. ‘prophecy_of_sotek_stages_to_missions_tables’ is not working. It crashes whatever I put in there with the non-vanilla stage value.
Q. UI is super ugly.
A. I’m not an artistic guy, and I have to change 40 arts if I wanted to fully transform the panel. Plus few more if I count the upgrade icons. Yeah, not possible for me.
Also, Chaos Dwarf will bring something to the game, and if it brings a modder-friendly feature with similar functions, then there is no need to cling to Ikit’s Workshop.
Q. If you need an upgrade, you can just use Mortuary cult?
A. True, very true.
Q. Do you think every lore can be justified if you put the ‘rune’ prefix in the title?
A. Yes

A. Just thought it was too much.
