Balanced Sea Attrition
Mod aiming to tweak some of the last changes regarding sea attrition and marines.
- Reverted naval attrition for land units from 10% to 1%: a brutal attrition increase for regular troops at sea, causes to loose ~60% of them in a landing, which is both historically and gameplay-wise unfathomable. This change probably wanted to encourage the use of new marine troop type, which would work if they weren’t extremely scarce, due to build limit and sailor pool.
- Doubled marine base limit: In order for marines to be somewhat used their limit must be increased. Even thought sea attrition was reverted to 1% for regular troops, they still have some other bonuses and add flavour to the game.
- Removed +25% received shock damage modifier for marines: this pretty much left them useless.
- +50% Increased sailor modifier from buildings: as sailors are extremely scarce, and we will need considerably more now if we want to make some marines, this bonus to sailor buildings was added. Plus, it was hardly ever built, regular nations would just skip these in favour for other buildings, and colonial/naval-based nations such as England or Portugal didn’t need them, this change will make them a slightly more attractive choice.
- Slightly nerfed British navy: Wooden wall now just provides +1 admiral maneuver.
