Description:

This pack includes 14 types of track geared towards tram and light rail. It also includes several additional track elements as "buildings". This is measured for 1435 mm track and is similar to my pack for 1520/1524 mm., however, I will next prepare a similar 1435 mm track pack. The pack is integrated with my Road Variety Pack. All mods have names starting with AVP to have them in one place.

The main concept for this pack was to show the rails as they exist in real life, i.e. made out of steel and thus gray/silvery, and not black. See screenshots for overview and instructions.

Included track:

Light rail (speed 110 km/h) – on gravel, on brown earth (both with concrete ties), and on slab (short ties).

Tram (speed generally 60 km/h) – on gravel, on brown earth (both with wood ties), on gray and red asphalt, on green lane, on large concrete plates, on smaller concrete tiles, on large red tiles (as you can see in Hiroshima and Nagasaki) and on cobblestone (40 km/h).

Two special types of track – (1) 110 km/h rails only (no base, no borders, no sleepers) – this is convenient e.g. to do a level crossing with a road. It works well with "filler" buildings I will add through a separate pack.
(2) temporary track (no base, metal ties) for ground track – 30 km/h, see-through (no base) viaduct 60 km/h, and open-pit (no cover) tunnel 60 km/h.

Included "buildings": check rails (one sided and two sided), guard rails, guard rail ends, narrow metal plates to reinforce level crossings, large metal and resin plates for level crossings, rusted rails – grooved and regular. Select the desired building from the list, double click to place it into the model, pick the desired track, and it should snap into the right place on or around the track. There is also transparent red cast, in case you may want to "paint" any surface red to show that it’s for transit.

You can see examples of using this track pack on a simple but realistic Kyushu (Nagasaki tram and Chikuho light rail) model in the screenshots above and at this link: https://share.nimbyrails.com/6S21RZlJd_NF8i6K39qJBg

Any comments on improvements are welcome.

I plan to make a similar pack for narrow gauge track as well.
