project jetpunk is an alternate world war 1 scenario where the piston engine wasn’t invented, it was instead replaced by various jet engines and rocket engines
-Avro Whirlwind
Is an early British rotorcraft, it produces lift by two counter rotating propellers each powered by a separate turboshaft engine. Designed as a scout it was field modified to launch rockets
-TISSOT PO-2 Ornitopther
Commissioned for the Tissot watch company, it has four wings flapping at over 700 rpm. It is armed with a Mg 15 and powered by a turboshaft engine geared up to a complex mechanism
-Grasshopper aerial torpedo
An early British cruise missile powered by a solid rocket motor and armed with a 240 lbs warhead. It is launched from a steam catapult and radio controlled. a tail mounted flare helps with navigation
-Überschall XZ-1
German ramjet powered high speed test aircraft. its inline cockpit, metal and wood construction and delta wings make it extremely fast. So much in fact it is mach 1 capable
