Foxes Aren’t Suicidal
This reduces the {maxPreyBodySize} of foxes, preventing them from preying on humans (such as your colonists) or large animals.
For the sake of realism, it also changes the {foodType} to make them omnivores and egg-eaters instead of strict carnivores.
It breaks my suspension of disbelief that the foxes in RimWorld will prey on humans. In real life, they are opportunistic. Their diet consists of insects, rodents, birds, eggs and plants. We never hear of man-eating foxes because there aren’t any. Foxes would not survive as a species if they readily attacked humans or animals bigger than themselves.
Foxes are afraid of humans and they can only barely hurt an adult. Check out this Amazing Fox Rescue Video. About 1 minute in the fox bites the guy and he comments on how it does not have a very strong bite. I’ve seen a different vid where a guy is trying to release a fox, but gets bitten on the hand. It runs away the moment it is no longer trapped. And it barely broke the skin on his hand.
This uses the xpath patching system, so it should be compatible with anything and everything.
It should work without having to start a new game. Uninstalling should not cause an issue, either.
