Description:

Cookie’s improvements and fixes to the True Start Location Giant Map by Gedemon. I have been tweaking with the Giant Map for almost 10 years now. This is a collection of files within Gedemon’s TSL mod that I think personally would improve the gameplay experience.

INSTRUCTION:
A) Subscribe and download all relevant mods including this one.

B) Load up game and go to Mods section and mods will download. Exit game.

C) Go to MODS. Copy and paste files from my folder to the right places in Ynaemp folder:
Earth_Giant_blank.Civ5Map – put this in MODSYet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack
Put the xml files in Yet (not) Another Earth Maps PackXML
YnaemDefines.lua – put this in Yet (not) Another Earth Maps PackLUA

D) Run game again. Go to Mods section. Check 2 boxes YnAEMP mod (v.22) and BNW city states (v.1). Also use whatever extra leaders DLL you want (28, 34, 43). Go to Custom Game and PLAY!!

16-Apr-22 update:
-Make deserts harsher, only Arabian Peninsula has a lot of Oasis tiles for Arabia to take advantage of. Other deserts now have very few Oasis tiles.
-Fix tundra tiles in the Northern hemisphere to have no trees near Ice tiles up north. This is to represent the true Tundra biome. Tundra + Forest is actually Boreal biome.
-Isolate Australia and New Zealand from Southeast Asia to prevent Siam and Indonesia to dominate Australia before the Renaissance/Astronomy that allow ocean travel. Also make Australia more inhospitable (more desert tiles, fewer rivers) to discourage early/mid game AI settlement.
-Add 2 new CSs TSL (Taipei and Oc Eo) to support the Vox Populi modmod – Unique City State.
-Fix Central Asia so that there are more flat tiles for Mongolia and Huns to use their cavalry units more effectively.

15-Jan-22 update:
-City States file now have TSL positions for the new CS’s in the Unique City States modmod for Vox Populi mod.
-Make almost all the coastlines neater.
-Fix North and South poles coast and ocean tiles distribution, ensure aesthetics and not allow civs in Americas and Old World to meet until discovery of Astronomy.
-improve on resources distribution and restriction in specific geographic areas to represent their uniqueness. ie: No Elephants in Europe, Far East Asia & India subcontinent have Silk, only Bisons in North America .etc.
