[EK2] Elder Kings 2: Lizards of Balfiera
Note: From 1st September until 11th of December I’ll be out of my home country and without access to my computer or Steam account. If any major update happens during this time, apologies. I will fix and/or update the mod as soon as I return.
If you are anything like me, you might already be tired of playing the same 2 races in the same region with the same government type. You know what I’m talking about. Well, this mod aims to add a bit of diversity to that, with a bit of extra flavor. This was my first ever CK3 mod and it was a great learning experience.
- The formed Kingdom of Balfiera populated with Argonians.
- A new culture and religion, focused on magic and necromancy.
- Play as a Magocracy with Sorcerous Elective succession.
- New customized fashion based on the EK2 available assets.
Play as one of the premade Deelithkajthux dynasty members:
- Shuxaltsei – The Lich. Once a slave under House Dres and the Padomaic Slaver’s Guild, Shuxaltsei rose to power after years spent refining the gifts bestowed to him by Hermaeus Mora, becoming a very powerful mage and a highly admired leader among his faithful followers.
- Hewei-Deek – The youngest son. A legitimized bastard, antagonized by his brothers. Cunning and devious, he is the most fervent devotee of the family.
- Kajthux – The second-born son. Flawed by the lack of magical talents, he succeeded to compensate his crucial flaw thanks to his battle prowess and fiery aptitude for physical combat. A born cynical, he does not shy from having his own plans and ambitions.
- Ki-Nushmeeko – The only daughter. Alluring, charming and a talented necromancer. Her passionate devotion could equal the piety of even the most adoring priest.
- Masu-Nushmeeko – The first-born son. A compassionate and benevolent individual who relinquished the ambition of personal conquest to nurture his own family.
Or if you are not interested in any of them, try creating your own character. Just don’t forget to recruit the replaced character to your court, as they make invaluable councilors.
Just load it after Elder Kings 2.
Incompatible with mods that change any sort of clothing and clothing accessories. Will require compatibility patches.
These is a fair amount of clipping. I tried my best to choose outfits that did not make it too apparent, to get rid of all legwear and to adjust some meshes to fit the lizard heads. I am not a 3D modeler, so all I’m able to do are small adjustments. Any other issue, feel free to report it below and I’ll try to fix it.
Maybe more flavor? Custom events and a bit more of fashion customization? Or maybe I’ll try going for a similar mod for a different location, theme or race.
