A large anti-air destroyer designed by Imperial German Navy. This ship was never built.

The destroyer KMS Felix von Luckner represents an initial design concept for the Typ 1944A anti-aircraft destroyer. In 1938, faced with the excellent performance of carrier based aviation forces in several exercises and the initial pressure of fleet air defense, the senior management of the German Navy keenly realized that Germany’s future new destroyers should focus on strengthening fleet air defense capabilities. In early 1939, just as the Z1938D plan (later known as the 1940A destroyer) was finalized and put into operation, the Imperial Navy Design Bureau also proposed a series of large-scale fleet air defense destroyer designs to discuss the next generation of main destroyer plans. The Naval Design Bureau has submitted a total of 8 different design proposals, with standard displacement ranging from 2520 tons to 3950 tons, equipped with 6-10 still under development 128mm/61 dual-purpose guns. Among them, the Z1939B scheme was ultimately selected and evolved into the 1944A destroyer that was later extensively built and put into service, while the maximized Z1939G scheme is our main focus today.

This ship is made of vanilla parts only. Physics optimized.
