Faith Fixes
This mod is made up of various changes to almost-all the faiths in the game, both for historical, aesthetic, and gameplay reasons. It’s a personal mod of mine i’ve been using for a while on my own playthroughs but i’ve decided to publish it here for everyone to use.
This mod shouldn’t be compatible with any mod that modifies the religion files. If you really wanna mix-and-match with other mods, put this mod before those other mods in your playlist.
Most faiths have their color changed so (1) the map is more pleasing to look at and (2) it’s easier to find the faith on the map based on the type of religion it is.
I also made ***various*** tenet changes. I tried to type them out here but I made too many to list. Some of the big changes include:
— Coptic and Apostolic are more similar, but Apostolic has Adaptive to make it last longer since it’s ruled by Orthodox and Muslim rulers.
— Asharism is renamed "Sunni" to be like CK2, and since it’s the default faith for the Sunni Caliphate.
— Sunni and Shia faiths are now labelled "Sunni" or "Shia" in the faith list so they’re easier to identify.
— Kuzarite is now "Judeo-Tengrist" and is an unreformed religion with a new icon. Now it’s much harder for it to spread beyond the Khazar culture group and Russia shouldn’t become Jewish a decade after game-start anymore.
— Tengri is now "Tengrist"
— Dualist faiths are all made historically accurate, with the appropriate syncreticism tenet and unique tenet changes.
— Turuumism is now Shamanism, since it’s supposed to represent Siberian faiths. They get the Reincarnation and Pacifism tenets.
— Slovianskan gets the sanctioned false conversions tenet
— European pagans are red-colored so now you can finally tell if Catholicism is spreading or not at a glance
— Buddhist faiths reworked with some changed and added holy sites, while Ari now lacks the dharmic pacifism tenet
— Hindu and Jain religions are cyan blue to emulate EU4 and also make them stand out on the map compared to Buddhism
— Messalians are now cannibals
— Conversos have Jewish syncreticism
— Kushitics have sun worship
