Description:

In vanilla, the AI always converts counties and only uses the "Religious Relations" task when there are no counties to convert.
This mod rebalances the AI’s priorities so that "Religious Relations" is used more and "Convert Faith in County" is used more sparingly – specifically, mostly when an AI ruler is zealous and/or especially callous/sadistic. This mod also makes the pluralism doctrine more meaningful: Even if an AI ruler is zealous, following a pluralistic faith (or being part of a culture that has a tolerance tradition) makes them less likely to convert counties to their faith.
Lastly, the mod makes the relationship between Ash’arism and Muwalladism in Iberia more stable: The developers intended for Ash’ari rulers in Iberia to rarely convert Muwalladi counties, but, because the AI always converted counties in vanilla, this was rarely respected. Now, Ash’ari rulers will let their Muwalladi subjects live in peace.

Ultimately, this results in less of a Catholic/Orthodox/Ash’ari/Manichean/Zhengyi world. The Maturidi Samanids allow Khurmatza populations persist, Manichean Bilgäs and Zhengyi Zhangs no longer drive off their Buddhist subjects, and the battleground of Iberia is focused on the Mozarabic center, pulling those populations either to Catholicism or Ash’arism/Muwalladism. All reformed faiths will still strongly prefer to convert counties that follow unreformed faiths…unless a ruler follows a pluralistic faith.

Compatibility: This mod makes changes to /common/council_tasks/00_court_chaplain_tasks.
