Updated Rus (Naming and Culture tweaks WIP)
This is by a large margin a work in progress mod, I have a lot of files in that are not enabled due to buggy-ness. I’m putting this out because I want more suggestions and opinions from the community due to sensitive nature of this mod.
- Renamed Cultural titles
- Renamed Russian to Rus’
- Russia Empire title to Rus
- New Innovations adding a new men at arms for early game (light infantry) and others that allow raiding and just general buffs
- About One Random Event that simulates to a degree to adoption of writing and an alphabet
- General Fixes to naming and such
- Melting Pot decision to create a norse-russian hybrid culture
- New Slavic heresies and events
- Custom East Slavic Music
- 6 New Events covering local traditions, mythology and customs
- Decisions that enable more flavour from the culture
- Melting Pot cultures, some fictional some realistic
- Events simulating the trading success of Rus
- Events simulating the religion conversion that wasn’t as immediate, people continued their pagan traditions well into the 15th century
- Better integration into the new norse flavour pack and winter system
- New mma types
- Dynamic migrations and invasions from Turkic nomadic tribes
- Possibly a Turkic-Rus culture, for that culture dynamic ck3 currently lacks
- New Story Events to add quality flavour
The reason I started this mod is due to my frustration of how badly the region is protrayed. The culture is Russian, the empire is Russia, the region never becomes rich, it stays a ♥♥♥♥ hole and no interesting developments. Hence this project. Please put your feedback and opinions, and don’t discuss politics. I’d also prefer if all the comments were in English cause that keeps things less messy and less heated. I’ll be working on this mod for a while, since I’ve already worked on it for 2 months, I’m just releasing it very striped down since there were too many bugs, but be warned I’m very busy irl and it will take time for me to update, but please leave suggestions and any bugs you encounter, thanks!
