Description:

Yet another Fantasy Creatures Mod…
Various existing mods that add various fantasy creatures in CK2 just add them as is, without explanation about where did they come from, or the consequences that may follow of fantasy creatures intervention in Earth history. So I decided to change that.

So imagine a typical Fantasy World, with Elves, Dwarves, Orcs and other creature. This world is about to end – an unknown catastrophe (What is it? White Frost? Demonic Invasion? Asteroid? Who knows…) will destroy it soon, and so the inhabitants of this world used all magic they had to create a way into the other world – our world. And they will fight for their right to survival.

Features:

Six new races, nine new cultures and even more religions will appear at the world map as a result of this invasion, each with unique semi-dynamic portrait and racial traits:

  • High Elves – Aldari
Inspired by High Elves from various Fantasy Settings, like LotR, Warhammer Fantasy and The Elder Scrolls, this race will appear in Western Europe.
  • Dwarves – Khazuk
Like Elves, Dwarves also inspired by their counterparts from LotR and Warhammer Fantasy, and they will also appear in Europe.
  • Dark Elves – Dameri
Three blessings, sera! Dark Elves are obviously Dunmer from the Elder Scrolls, and I’m not going to deny it. Their armies will invade Middle East.
  • Dark Dwarves – Dwurush
As you may expect, they are based on Dwemer, from the Elder Scrolls, but they are actually Dwarves this time. Besides that, they also based on ancient Mesopotamian cultures and Chaos Dwarfs from Warhammer Fantasy. Just like Dark Elves, they will invide Middle East.
  • Cat Folk – Cathrians
Taking inspiration from Khajiit from the Elder Scrolls, Tigrans from Age of Wonders and Cathar from Star Wars, this creatures will invade North Africa.
  • Orcs – Oruk Gar
Fiercome warriors based on Orcs of Warcraft and Orsimer of The Elder Scrolls, this steppe nomads will invade Mongolia.

Beside these six main cultures, there is also three additional cultures that is separated from their main lines and will appear on the map as a result of minor invasions that will happen after some time of main invasion:

  • Blood Elves – Nagrathi
A branch of High Elves based on Druchii (Dark Elves) from Warhammer Fantasy, these elves will invade North Europe.
  • Nomad Elves – Velori
Based on Ashlanders from the Elder Scrolls, they will separate from their Dameri cousins and invade Great Steppes region.
  • Uruks – Oruk Hay
Based on Orcs of the Lord of The Rings and (please don’t laugh) Roman Empire, they will lead their Black Legions towards Tibet and India.

This mod also add various new events, societies and decisions. Yet, this is not final version of this mod, and I planning to add more content for it, like cultural melting pots for invaded cultures and compatibility with CK2toEU4 converter, so you can continue to play with fantasy creatures in the age of gunpowder. Moreover, perhaps I may even create a compatibility patches that will allow to play this mod with various global mods.

I express my gratitude to the developers of New Era Old World mod for allowing me to use their minority mechanic. Go check this mod, it’s awesome.
