Description:

Yet Another Resprite Mod is a texture replacement mod that aims to be as comprehensive as possible, swapping textures to fit my preferred aesthetic for Binding of Isaac.

Replacements will strive for the following goals:

  • To adapt graphics appearing in the Flash Binding of Isaac as faithfully as possible while adhering to Rebirth’s pixel style.
  • To adhere to any concept art or depictions of graphics as drawn by Edmund McMillen himself (from his Twitter or the old Isaac blog).
  • To closely adhere to Edmund McMillen’s artistic sensibilities and quirks.
  • If nothing else, to fit my personal preference and touch things up a bit!

Some items had older versions which required a mod to have their names reflect those incarnations; I have made the Antique Items Pack mod to address this. There’s modern-looking replacements for these items available in this mod, as well.

Please get in touch with me if there are any compatibility issues, glaring aesthetic issues, or if I missed a good source of inspiration for a graphic!

If you would like for me to do sprites in this style for a mod, please get in touch and we can work something out!

Special thanks to the Reflashed team, a mod which I worked on (and occasionally adapt from with this mod), and to shuaner and their excellent resprite mod which inspired me to work on my own!

…as an aside, if any of you ever have a chance to speak with Edmund McMillen, tell him to release all the concept art he’s got for Isaac! I’ve heard murmurs about an artbook (no, not talking about the Unholy Edition artbook released a decade ago, I own that, thank you), but it would bring me great joy (and great inspiration for this mod) if every bit of concept art he did for the game (either digitally or on paper) is released. If you do, I will thank you. Isaac will thank you.
