Welcome to GKarts: TurboCharged, a vehicle base with a twist!.
Gkarts is a vehicle base system that brings and adapts multiple arcade-like racing elements to Garry’s mod. The addon features many elements that can be used for sandbox such as:
– Mouse kart steering.
– Drift and Boost System.
– "Mario Kart-like" item system.
– Kart Customization: Wheels, Hull and Sounds! (Tutorial Pending).
– Wreck System and Auto-Aim Systems (Mark down your opponents and then crush them!).
-Amphibious Vehicles (hold space while in the water to float or sink into the bottom).
-A tutorial overlay with all controls and tricks (you might need it).
-Speed System (Admins can modify the speed of the karts).
Controls! (You might want to look at the tutorial overlay by typing "GMK_EnableTutorial 1")
Console Commands:
ClientSide:
"gmk_effects" – set boost effects
"GMK_EnableTutorial" – Enables an overlay with all basic kart mechanics.
"gmk_menu" – Opens the Menu (Default by Pressing +zoom)
ServerSide:
"gmk_enableAmphibious" – Enable or Disable Amphibious mode, Makes karts float if the player press the jump button
"gmk_enableBighead" – Enable or Disable playermodels to have big heads when they access to the vehicle
"gmk_enableCharged" – Set the speed of karts: -1 EasyDrive (Slow Karts); 0 FastLane(Fast Karts); 1 Charged!(Turbo Karts)
"gmk_enableTurbo" – Enable or Disable kart drift based boost as well as Jumping
"gmk_enableWheelies" – Enable or Disable the angle of kart frontal inclination
"gmk_WreckMode" – Enable or Disable Kart Wreck Damage System, Karts receive damage from crashing at high speed.
"gmk_HomingAttacks" – Enable or Disable karts ability to aim to other karts, props or players, Attack2 to set the target, Attack1 to chase.
I want to say special thanks to all my friends who helped me expand the idea and concept of this vehicle system. A year ago, I was trying to create an addon for a couple of friends, and this was created in some sort of "Happy Accident," so I decided to expand and add more functions and experiment with some stuff, and the result of around a year of development resulted in this. But it doesn’t mean that I’m done with this addon. I will try to expand the idea and concept into more addons for both this vehicle base and others.
