Description:

The Base Cluster Action Mod adds one single cluster of up to 4 hostile military stations in close proximity to each other, guarded by defense platforms and enemy ships. The amount of enemy ships can be quite large compared to the default mission types, so try not to get overwhelmed.

If you think your current playthrough is a bit too boring, this mod should help you to spice things up a bit. The only purpose of this mod is to give the player a bit more challenging target to defeat 🙂

The enemy stations surround a large asteroid containing either gold or uranium. I’ve set the enemy ships to patrol at different distances, so maybe you’ll be able to lure in smaller groups at a time (but I haven’t experimented a lot with this, keep in mind this is supposed to be challenging).

This mod should be savegame compatible, meaning you should be able to enable and disable it with no ill effect since it only adds stuff that is already in the game. However, clusters of military stations with their accompanying guards will remain in any star system where it has already spawned (meaning you’ll have to use force to get rid of them).

There is no mission to kill this cluster of military stations, nor will you receive any kind of penalty if you do attack them. Pillaging their corpses will be your main reward.

The enemy clusters will tend to be of a single faction, which will perhaps give you an extra angle of attack since each faction tends to have its own strengths…and weaknesses.

This mod is somewhat similar to SirCampalots Fleet Action Mod (which you can get here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2898393505 ) in that it will make a lot more enemies spawn.

This mod should be compatible with all known mods. It sure works with Extended Tech Tree Mod and Upgraded Enemy Ships (the added ships will also spawn) and I suspect other mods which add more enemy ships to career will also work with this mod.

The cluster of hostile military stations will spawn somewhere outside the main asteroid ring and should be out of the way of all regular missions, so you should be able to just skip the cluster if you want to. Each military station will be marked by a question mark the moment you enter its star system, so they should be relatively easy to find.

This is a fairly simple mod intended to give people a bit more to do (at least until the official cosmoteer career 2.0 gets released).
