Lower APs for Pistols&MPs
Only Vanilla Pistols, MPs and the FAMAS got changed.
List of changes:
Reloading revolvers is 4 APs (except Tex’s Revolvers: 2AP)
– I added the FAMAS bc in vanilla it is such a useless piece of scrap metal. Now it’s a good early game alternative to AK47. Still weak, but quick.
– The MP5k already had 3 (4) AP – now it fits in 1 small Slot. And yes you can dual wield it. Alternative to dual UZIs or Glocks.
Compatibility
– This mod is not compatible with other mods that change the vanilla Pistols & MPs.
– Compatible with Tons of Guns, working on compatibility patch to balance ToG pistols/mps too.
If you want a rebalance of Pistols & MPs (versus the strong Shotguns, ARs and Sniper Rifles) this is the mod for you.
It is save game compatible, no new game needed with the exception that already added short- or longbarrels on one of these weapons might not show modded AP cost until you reapply the barrel mod.
I highly recommend playing it with Rock’s "Dual Wield Rebalance" Mod which corrects the bug in the too high dual wield AP costs. With both mods dual wielding is great fun and maybe as strong as shotgun builds as long as you freemove in, unload shots, mobile-shot out again and have 2-3 APs left to get in cover.
The pistol ability ‘Mobile Shot’ is much stronger now and you should use it. It gives you the possibility to move quicker than normal – if you can shoot at the end. Kinda rebalances the Breach&Clear-Shotgun-freemove power.
One word to balance: Your enemies have the same quicker handguns & MPs.
