Description:

In addition to the original properties, raiding also -30% upkeep.

10/5/2018 experience: raiding indeed rewarding now, and you want any chance you got to raid, which is surprisingly few with the needs of recruiting, replenishment in settlement, taking care of public order, and taking care of diplomacy

Very good game, a few things can use bit improvement here and there. Currently there is no use for raiding except for win conditions. For example,

Vs Encampment, Raiding gives: less income, less movement, no recruitment, no replenishment, no building, diplomacy penalty, battle fatigue. There is no single reason to raid.

Vs Normal Stance, Raiding gives: minor income, less move, no recruit, diplomacy penalty, battle fatigue.

Vs Fortification, Raiding gives: minor income, no recruit, dip penalty, fatigue.

I am sure anyone who loves this game know the uselessness of raiding.

Now has -30% upkeep added to other properties. And it’s good.

Why -30% you ask? If a unit eats 1 out of 3 meals at the poor local farmer’s place, that’s acceptable raiding. If 2 out of 3 meals? That’s bit much, more like local thugs than a real army. Of course a properly respectful army will eat 3 out of 3 meals from their own supply.

Also, -30% is less reduction than Subian’s -35%, thus it is inline with the limitations set in the original game.

Also it feels real and good playing. Either the Celtics or Huns, or even Romans, raiding is useful now.

With the crazy celtics’ 200% raiding, you can get to about -50% upkeep in raiding stance in neutral/enemy region. That feels significant. Of course it gets crazier with their raiding buildings, which I did not test, but do seem more interesting now.

With no raiding bonus such as the romans, it still removes less than 1/3 of upkeep, which is quite significant.

Thus, please enjoy.
