The Tempest is a Very Heavy Fighter SV, designed to soak up all the CPU upgrades you can throw at it. Base it is set up to fight CVs with Lasers and Torps. Mobility is good, but will go down if you add heavy turrets (those things are heavy!). Comes with all the amenities a SV can carry.
It should be able to fly on high g planets, even though you may need to upgrade lift thrust slightly depending on upgrades and carried weight.
Upgrade possibilities:
-4 more fixed weapons
-12 more turrets
-3x more generators (needed if you go for an augmented shield)
-several smaller thrusters for more lift.
