Bladeuk Legionay Cohort in Military Ports Only (WRE/ERE)
The Legionary Cohort is a great addition to the game. All credits to Bladeuk.
This legion is available for Romans in Military Ports only, like the Camels and Elephants from my pack Regional Recruitment. These elite legions cannot be trained everywhere, they are sent from your Capital by ship to your Military Wharfs and Ports.
The Emperor has decided that the Herculiani Seniores alone can’t save our nation. We need a truly traditional powerful legion, fighthing like Romans are supposed to do. Even in these modern times, almost 1250 years Ab Urbe Condita, with light equipped barbarian troops coming from all sides, a legion is the only way to command respect. It is the best unit Rome has to offer, the most disciplined, hardened men you can get, chosen by the Emperor himself, trained in your capital, ready to be transported to the borders… so be it.
For balance reasons this unit is extremely expensive and has a high upkeep (750). Training and shipping them takes two turns. Other changes in this mod, this legion can form extra formations (play with my Roman Formations mod for the right balance) like Wedge, Square, (Defensive) Testudo and Shield Wall. The soldiers carry three Plumbata (Darts). They have Expert Charge Defense aka Charge Reflect, the harder the enemy charges the more they get hit themselves. Besides, they stay in formation while attacking, have the disciplined trait (won’t flee when your general dies) and are virtually unbreakable with their high morale.
Since I use this legion in all my WRE campaigns I thought it would be nice to share this little mod with other players.
