Ara Zobayan (? – January 26, 2020) was a pilot of the Kobe Bryant air disaster, with over 1200 hours of experience flying S-76 helicopters. On January 26, 2020, Ala Zobayan told air traffic controllers via radio that he was trying to pilot a helicopter to climb up to 4000 feet (approximately 1.2 kilometers). But in reality, the plane is currently descending. Afterwards, the helicopter crashed in Calabasas, California. Zobayan, Kobe, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and six other people on board all died in this accident.
