Victorian Prussian Skins
Spike as in Pickelhaube, not the Dragon
Welcome to a fun pack of Victorian period Prussian (and German) soldiers to muck around with! I wanted to experiment with the Victorian era and every(pony) foams at the mouth over Prussia for some reason, so I decided why not try Preußen soldiers?
You get five freaking skins, five!
- Prussian Soldier 1842+
- Early-period Prussian based on an image I found, he’s got the old, tall, and quite frankly, coolest, pickelhaube
- Prussian Soldier 1864+
- More basic pickelhaube
- German Soldier Tornister
- Good for the late 1800s, after the whole unification thing
- German Soldier Undress
- Same as the normal German soldier, but without the backpack, y-straps, and has different shoulder boards
- Prussian Garde zu Fuss
- Pretty famous regiment, the Garde zu Fuß, not sure what else there is to say about them.
Referenced a lot of period imagery on these, especially thanks to Kaiser’s Bunker for the great reference articles on the pickelhaube and waffenrock. Of course a couple of my reference books also came in handy, namely Uniforms of the World, and a few people on my modding Discord, for instance, the reenactment that makes guy.
Yes, I have a Discord. I post various status updates as well as the roadmap for future projects. It also doubles as a general modding server and whatnot, plus you get some emoticons, most of which are rather unrelated to the topic at hand.
