Description:

You’ve beaten Ruin, delved ancient vaults, cataloged every bug you can find… but you still haven’t seen the cat vs. bunny challlenge room. But who wants to hunt through every square inch of every planet just to have a chance to find a challenge door that you get to use once?

Well, with some ancient essence, an inordinate amount of phase matter, and the power of the core of an active planet, you too can repeatedly bash your head against the challenge rooms to your heart’s content – craft a portal that does not disappear after use and can be moved around as much as you want! But wait, there’s more! To simulate the "millions of planets" travel, each entry into your "Stable" Challenge Door randomizes the threat level from 1 to 7, so you really never know what you’re going to get when you step into that door!

Features
  • Craft a "Stable" Challenge Portal at a Terraforge in any Ancient Vault.
  • Place or move your portal as much as you wish – moving it will not destroy it like portals in the wild.
  • Use it as many times as you want – it is not destroyed on use like vanilla portals.
  • Each use is a random map and threat level – you never know what you’ll get until you step through.
  • Does not alter vanilla assets: Fully compatible with any mods that alter challenge doors, such as Challenge Accepted.

Special Thanks

lophatkao: For Challenge Accepted – The notes left in the challengedoor.lua let me make the right guesses when adapting the vanilla lua (and for just generally being awesome in past interactions).
