Kipton Mining Claim
An icey, unforgivable surface inhabited by a small population of miners. These dwellers are required to carry an oxygen mask in order to breathe in the thin atmoshpere and collect fuel and materials to sustain their society.
Concept is inspired by Considered Hostile (https://youtu.be/M4pMY2kXwm8) and Hidden Deep.
Included are a day variant and a night variant.
This item is still subject to changes, with the possible addition of an end goal of escaping on a ship.
Currently it is more of a proof of concept.
Features
– Sky alien artifacts that drain the atmosphere from the start of the round
– A surface mining town, half of the structures having their own oxygen generators
– An almost-invulnerable spawn zone, labelled "Mining Dispatch", that should keep fresh spawns alive with oxygen
– A vast underground cavern with a number of destructible walls for exploration, including submerged tunnels and spawned-in enemies
– Diesel generators, each area relies heavily on its own diesel generator for lighting and oxygen refills
– Grappling guns (with both tensile and loose ropes for lifting and dropping) to get around tall obstacles
