Description:

This version of our mod is exactly the same as the original, however, as the name suggests this does not have any unit size changes.

As of now we have released a Shieldwall Overhaul compatible version, no unit size changes it just adds our formations and abilities to Shieldwall Overhaul.

PLEASE NOTE: The pictures were taken using the original mod and so also include the unit size changes, however other than that everything is exactly the same as it would be in this version.

What We Have Done:

We have changed the ‘Shield Castle’ for all appropriate axe/sword units (taking into account shield size) to better reflect it for missile defence and also added a ‘Shield Wall’ with effects to better reflect its use against infantry and bracing ability. We also added the ‘Axe Fury’ ability to Two-Handed axe and Berserker units. We also added ‘Stalk’ and ‘Guerrilla Deployment’ to Berserkers, Shield Biters, Wolf Hounds, & War Hounds. Also, for a little bit more variation with units, we have added a small ‘Throwing Axe’ to all 1 handed axe units, taking into account unit tier with regards to ammo usage and accuracy.

We have changed the ‘Spear Castle’ for all appropriate spear units (taking into account shield size) to better reflect it for missile defence and also added a ‘Spear Wall’ with effects to better reflect its use against cavalry and bracing ability.

We have added several abilities for all missile units, these are: ‘Loose Formation’, ‘Refill Ammunition’, ‘Precision Fire’, & ‘Rapid Fire’. We have also added ‘Heavy Shot’ to archer & crossbow units, and changed the effects of ‘Flaming Shot’ so as to have more varied and situational uses between ammo types

We have added Rapid Advance to all units except artillery.

We have added Mighty Knockback, Encourage, & Forest Hide to Artillery units. We have also added new shot types for the artillery; ‘Flaming Round’ – which increase reload time but has morale debuffs and fire damage, & ‘Large Rock’ – which has higher damage and increased AP damage, but at the cost of reload time and range. We also added the ‘Rapid Volley’ ability, which reduces range but increases the rate of fire, at the same time it only allows use of the standard artillery round as this seems more realistic, and forces the player and AI to use different shot types a bit more dynamically.
