Description:

This mod adds three new game speeds that let time go slower, but keep construction costs the same! The idea is to create a more interesting game by ‘freeing’ up production to spend on building more units.

I always liked how quickly you could get things built in Fast game speed, but preferred the slower overall game progression of research, growth and expansion that the longer games provided. This mod is a progression from an earlier series of ‘historic speed’ mods, with my own faster version.

Please note that the game speed doesn’t change dynamically, but rather I hope it makes for a more dynamic game.

For Endless Legend version 1.3.0

New game speeds:
– Archaic speed runs the game at Slow speed, but the production costs of buildings is kept at the Normal game speed level.
– Historic speed runs the game at Endless speed, but keeps the production costs at Normal.
– Dynamic speed runs the game at Normal speed, but reduces the production costs to that of Fast games.

These production changes seem to apply to everything except stockpiles.

Compatibility: The mod should be fully compatible with all other game mods, provided they don’t change the game speed options. There might be minor conflicts with other mods that change game settings, but I don’t expect it to happen.

This mod is designed to be as non-destructive as possible. The only descriptors rewritten is the list of game speeds in the pre-game lobby. The AI is hooked into the AI for the game speed which the dynamic version is based off, not from the production costs. From my testing that seems to mostly work, although it does sometimes seem to have money issues. Let me know if you notice anything too untoward. The upshot of this is that the mod should work perfectly fine if combined with other mods that adjust the AI, or other gamespeed multipliers.
