Improved Combat
This mod changes hit odds and damage calculation mechanics, to provide more linear attack to average damage progression, which makes stacking attack and defence attributes almost always profitable and combat is less dependent on lucky dice rolls. It is achieved by two changes: adding more damage multiplier levels every 0.25 (instead of 0.5) and increasing to 4 (instead of 2) minimum and maximum attack to defence ratio, which affects hit chances.
Additional changes:
– reduce morale attack bonus from 15% to 5% per level
– reduce morale defence bonus from 15% to 10% per level
– reduce absurdly high bonuses provided by Serum of Iteru from 100% (real 4x army power increase) to 40% (~2x army power increase like other +100% tier 6 techs)
Known issues:
– Due GUI limitations, Hit Chances panel presents attack to defence ratio instead of hit chances. I could not find a way to add new hit categories and calculating odds for only 4 of 7 categories is pointless.
