Description:

BETA release
The mod should work correctly without bug except the 3 quests problem (see below Issues).
Need to verify if mod is balanced.

==PROGRESSIVE DIFFICULTY== :
– This Mod provide more difficulty levels both AI players and Minor faction. I don’t think the mod will work if you change game speed. So it’s for normal gameplay about that.
– Goal of this mod is to remove "breaking point" : it’s the moment, even after a difficult early game, when you start to overpower AI. Then game is no more challenging because you already know you will win. It kill late game interest.
– For achieving this goal, the mod propose a progressive difficulty. Basic difficulty is lower, but as time pass, AI get slowly more power.
– If you feel you are at a difficulty you are still overpower AI, then just choose the difficulty up.

==TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS== :
– AI begin with mostly same bonus than before but divided by 2 or 3 (depends of what).
– Some basic bonus don’t change as they are valuable at any turn, and don’t overpower AI, like quests triggering.
– Some basic bonus are divided by 2 but don’t get a progressive bonus : it’s just they are absurdly huge, and break fair game. I would like players feel AI is playing like an human being, so AI shouldn’t show impossible things at start of the game.
– Progressive bonus are made in a way they give AI same bonus than before at a turn around 125. After that, AI continue to become stronger and provide a good challenge.
– Turn 125 is around the turn when players feel they begin to overpower AI, as a few reported to me.
– AI personnalitys have been made also.

==MINOR FACTIONS== :
– Minor faction don’t just get new difficultys, they also get new steps.
– A step is how the Minor faction interact with the world, it say how many units spawn, if they can travel in other regions, attack a city, etc…
– There is now more "random" step, making you don’t know how a minor faction will react. It’s not really random, but in game you will loose track of it, so it make feel the same.
– There is also more higher steps, for late game, making minor faction a major threat if they aren’t controled.

==TRAIT POINTS EQUIVALENCE== :
– Difficulty listbox give an usefull information, if AI spendt Trait points for getting his bonus, how many it would cost.
– Some estimations are quite precises and come from example of traits cost in vanilla game. Some others are more feeling estimations, because there is no traits about that.
– If a player want to begin the game with 100% same base bonus of AI, he should use this total of traits points.
– You can estimate how many trait points you should use relatively, using a mod unlocking number of traits points for that.
– Though you should lower a little your authorized traits points, as when choosing trait, you could build a strategy and not choosing any random base bonus like AI get.
– Example : If I play Endless with vanilla trait points (80), how many traits points should I get for playing Endless AS IF it was just Serious difficulty. Endless (310) – Serious (185) = 125 points. For making that, I should get 125 additionals points, making my total authorized points 80+125 = 205 traits points.
– Another Example : If want to play "I need a Psy" difficulty, as if it was just Impossible difficulty. I need here 470-240 = +230 pts over base, then a total of 310 traits points.
– Last Example : If you want to play Serious difficulty as if it was Normal, then it make 185-90 +80 = 175 traits points. As Normal is only 90 points.

==ISSUES== : 3 quests could not trigger when using new difficultys, but should be ok on Vanilla difficultys : GLOBAL QUEST COOP 2, MainQuest mogwar Chapter4, MainQuest WinterShifters Chapter1.
There is no way to solve that until Amplitude provide a new updated References file, problem probably come from there because there is missing Decorators in latest Reference file available. I mainly suppose it’s the reason (but may be wrong).
