TACTICA Imperium is an ovehaul mod improving character, army, navy skills, offices and attributes for the Imperium campaign

It completely rebuilds skill trees with new design (choose your path style), changes all skills with new ones, reforms how offices and attributes work to simulate a rpg feeling to the game. The skill progression system has been redone and it represents a realistic learning curve system, as chararacters, armies, navies level up. This mod is the forefather of vanilla TACTICA

Character Skills

1. The new skill tree is organised into 2 PATHS. The martial and administrative. Each path is separated into specific SUB-PATHS according to the playstyle you want to adopt for your character.

2. Each skill offers specific buffs and debuffs by enhancing a certain playstyle and making another more difficult to optimize. This design option is based on the logic that people choose to become as good as possible in a certain skill or set of skills, as well as to introduce a realistic role play style in a strategic game (with planning ahead elements & choices that make you think).

3. There are 32 different background skills that are divided into EVENTS & HABITS. These are designed to give the character an interesting story and a random generated style of gameplay. The character may have either a HABIT or EVENT as skill. (planning for more of them)

4. Each culture or faction has a set of specific CULTURAL SKILLS.

5. Generals keep the 18 skill point total. However their progression is designed based on a actual learning curve system. This means that to level from rank to rank takes more time, more experience, but the rate of development initially is slow (when learning something new). becomes faster (getting better at it) then it slows again (choosing what to master and what not).

6. Some skill upgrades are also available after specific ranks are reached, to maintain balance and weight of choice.

7. The mod affects generals not agents (possible wip)

Army & Navy Skills

1. Army and navy skills do not follow the positve/negative design but they are still designed to follow the tactica learning curve system

2a. Army skills are separated into 2 PATHS – The HOW TO FIGHT and HOW TO ORGANISE. Each path is again designed to lead players to choose and develop a specific gameplay style for their force. Skills are separated into CORE, STYLE, FOCUS and MILESTONES and have 16 points total.

2b. NAVY skills are organised to 1 PATH. However, the path has only 14 points total and focuses on making you choose a certain direction of gameplay to gain the most of your sailors. The skills are organised to FOCUS, NAUTICA, SAILORS and MILESTONES.

Attributes

1. Attributes have been revamped in order each one of them to match their description. Authority makes you a better ruler, Subterfuge makes you a cunning person. Zeal turns you into a beast…

2. There is a progressive theme of buffs, debuffs for each attribute,which goes hand in hand with the character skill changes.

Offices

1. Office ranks have been changed. Some offices lead to others, some dont. Some have been renamed and their buffs completely changed in order to improve role play and immersion.

Bonus – Wifes & other

I minimally edited many wife portaits to increase their variety with out changing the vanilla design.

All factions in the family panel display their Noble/Ruling Family House, named after the faction leader instead of the generic faction name!

This mod is best combined

— with my TERES – Battle Overhaul ,which aims to make battles more realistic and less arcadish.,,

— You could also expand your vanilla and terminus factions’ armies with a variety of elite units by trying out Attila Elites v.1.01.

— For TERMINUS TW players you should absolutely try out my dlc mod that adds units, generals, veteran legions and buildings to the main mod. TAGMA .
