Alethkar (The Cosmere)

The Cosmere is a fictional fantasy universe of books and short stories written by the author Brandon Sanderson

For as long as Alethkar has existed on Roshar, it has been feared. The Alethi are a warrior people with no equal, standing tall over all others on the continent. Through bow, spear, and Shardblade, they have conquered and killed to create the one of the largest nations in Roshar’s history. Now led by either the honorable general Dalinar or the heretical scholar Jasnah, Alethkar once again gears up for the conquests of new lands.

"They came from the east. Giants, in armor forged of the deepest metals. A horde of death and destruction that ate the land, consumed villages like insects swarming the crops. Ripping. Smashing."

Civilization Ability: Vengeance Pact

• +25% Production towards Anti-Cavalry and Ranged Units.
• Domestic Trade Routes gain +3 Production and +2 Culture for each Encampment building in the origin city.
• While at war, cities with an Encampment are 100% Loyal.

Unique Unit: Shardbearer

• Alethi unique Medieval era melee unit that replaces the Swordsman and is more expensive to train.
• +6 Combat Strength when attacking.
• +1 Movement.

Unique Improvement: Warcamp

• +1 Production and +0.5 Housing.
• +2 Production and +2 Culture if adjacent to an Encampment.
• +1 Gold for each adjacent Desert.
• Provides Tourism after unlocking Flight.
• Occupying unit receives defensive bonuses as if in a fort.
• Cannot be built on hills or adjacent to another Warcamp.

Leader Ability: The Way of Kings

• Cannot declare Suprise Wars or wars on city-states.
• Generate -50% Grievances and half as much war weariness from conflicts.
• Land units receive +2 Combat Strength, increasing by an additional +2 for each Alliance Level of your highest active Alliance.

Leader Ability: Heretic Scholar

• Combat victories provide Science equal to 50% of the Combat Strength of the defeated unit (on Standard Speed).
• Cities recieve +5% Science and -5% Faith for each Campus building constructed.
