Bärendorf
Deep in the dense forests of Raven territory stands the ancient village of Bärendorf, a symbol of past victories.
Its millennial age makes it an ideal stronghold of medieval times, over time the castle was replaced by houses but the base of its fortress remains the land on which this village stands.
The name is in german because in my lore the ravens are angry germans, that’s it.
The village is the main interest of the map where you’ll get some nice back and forth with a lot of infantry combat, outside the village the forest is pretty dense, bots will move through it and actively cover themselves behind foliage so stay aware of your surroundings.
The map plays very well if you configure the flags and just give them all to the ravens except the base eagle spawn, it makes for a cool breakthrough game.
I recommend you to use around 120 bots, the amount of trees and stuff can be heavy on weaker cpus, I did what I could to optimize it well enough that I could get a solid 40 frames with any of my Vanilla+ configs.
The map also plays well with more retro configs, like WW1, WW2.
To make the map feel disctinct from all the other maps I’ve made I changed the setting of course but also the entire process with wich I usually make a map, so it should feel very new from the other stuff I’ve made.
I have no idea what to do next for now, so if you have suggestions or even requests, I may make them a reality.
As always, I’ll gladly enjoy feedback.
