During World War II, there were numerous significant events, including the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Battle of Stalingrad, the D-Day invasion, and the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The war had far-reaching consequences, leading to the redrawing of national boundaries, the establishment of the United Nations, and the beginning of the Cold War between the US and Soviet Union.
WWII is the 2nd global war of the 20th century that involved many nations from north america to europe to africa, to east asia, to the middle east, to oceania, fighting took place on many of these continents.
