Fourstrider’s Promotion
General skill tree mod.

This mod takes the General skill tree from Fourstrider’s Japan and allows you to use it with the vanilla version of the game or another overhaul mod.
This mod was balanced around a challenging overhaul mod and may be considered overpowered for the vanilla version of the game.
Almost every ability is unlocked in the general skill tree. This includes Yari wall. If you’re using my retainer and agent mods then you will get additional opportunities to unlock these skills.
Some rifle abilities are unlocked via traits only. (Fourstrider’s Traits)
New ways to earn xp.
A general in ambush position earns small xp.
A general sieging a castle earns small xp.
Daimyo earns the most xp while garrisoned.
Family members earn half xp while garrisoned.
A commissioner earns half xp while garrisoned.
Battle xp
Secondary commander xp increased.
Bonus xp if your general personally fights in battle.
Bonus xp if you lose half your army and still win.
Bonus xp if you lose 90% of your army and still win.
When you’re outnumbered and win the battle you will get a major xp buff. If outnumbered 1:1.5 = 150xp, 1:2 = 300xp, 1:3 = 500xp 1:4 = 800xp. If you win enough battles while outnumbered you can work your way up the new trait tier. Famous > Legend > Myth. The ratio is decided by units, not soldiers. 3 player units vs 5 AI units is a 1:1.5 ratio. This only gives bonus xp to the primary general.
Requires traits to earn xp – Fourstrider’s Traits mod
Governor trait adds additional half xp to general.
Collaborator trait gives secondary commander additional xp after battle.
Bold trait gives xp to general in enemy territory.
Of the sea trait gives any general in a ship xp.
Xp tiers have been significantly raised.
The AI gets a large xp bonus every turn in addition to the ways listed above.
Governor traits cannot be learned by the daimyo or family members of the daimyo. Once a general earns a governor trait at a specific province they will not be able to learn one from a different province. The xp bonus will only work while garrisoned in that specific province named on the governor trait. The tax bonus on the trait will work at any province.
