Biography:
Vladimir Semyonovich Vysotskiy was a poet, actor, author and performer of songs. He was born on January 25, 1938 in Moscow during the Stalinist repressions. During the Great Patriotic War, he was evacuated to the east. In the post-war period, he lived with his father and stepmother in Germany, and later in Moscow on Bolshoy Karetniy Lane. Here his creative activity began. He met many good people, such as Levon Kocharyan, Edmond Keosayan, Andrey Tarkovskiy, Vasiliy Shukshin, Artur Makarov and many others. It was to them that he read and sang his first poems and songs.
During the "thaw", the genre of "Author’s Song" gained great popularity in music. The leader in this genre was Bulat Okudzhava. Listening to Okudzhava, Vysotskiy also began to accompany the reading of his poems by playing the guitar. After graduating from high school, Vysotskiy studied at the Institute of Engineering and Technology. But he quickly realized that it was not his, and entered the studio school at the Moscow Art Theater. After graduation, Vysotskiy worked at the Taganka Theater in Moscow.
Simultaneously with the theater, Vladimir Semyonovich began acting in films. One of his biggest roles was in the film "Vertical". Especially for this film, he wrote several songs, one of which became a cult – "Song about a friend". The songs from the film "Vertical" were released on the record and sold throughout the Soviet Union in a huge circulation. Thanks to this, Vysotskiy became a recognizable personality. In the second half of the sixties, Vysotskiy began to write songs about the life of the Russian people. The Soviet government did not like the poet: he was not invited to radio and television, songs were not officially published, and he held concerts under the guise of "creative meetings with the actor". But, despite this, the popularity of Vysotskiy grew.
The actor had one of the two Mercedes Benz 450 SEL cars that existed in the USSR. Only Leonid Brezhnev had a second such car. Among the shortcomings of Vysotskiy was his short temper and attachment to alcohol.
Vysotskiy was married three times. He got married for the first time at the age of 22. But it didn’t last long. After 2 years, he married for the second time to Lyudmila Abramova, who gave birth to two sons. But later he fell in love with Marina Vladi, a French actress and singer of Russian origin. In 1969, Vladimir Semyonovich together with Vladi came to Belarus to shoot the film "Sons Go into Battle". They lived very close to the lake "Svityaz". It was there that Vysotskiy wrote four songs, one of them, "The Ballad of Love", was written in honor of Marina. Six months later, after the trip, they got married.
Despite his popularity, Vysotskiy needed universal recognition. In 1971, the actor played his main theatrical role of Hamlet. Since 1973, Vysotskiy began to be released abroad. He has performed in many countries. Among them were France, Italy, and even the United States. At that time, he often discussed philosophical topics in his songs. By the end of the seventies, Vysotskiy starred in the title role in the cult TV series "The meeting Place can not be changed". It was his last big job.
Vladimir Semyonovich began to get more and more tired of his creative activities. He got drunk and ruined his health. To relieve hangover symptoms, Vysotskiy began using morphine. With drugs, he ruined his relationship with Marina Vladi and himself. His health began to deteriorate further. As a result, on July 25, 1980, at the age of 42, Vysotskiy’s heart failed…
The poet has closely integrated into Russian culture and will always be remembered. We made this mod as a tribute to this wonderful person.
