No healing while taking damage
Any kind of consumable healing will be stopped when you take damage.
Upon taking damage, the now useless effect stays for 3 seconds (regardless of duration left), during which you cannot use another healing item. After the effect has expired, healing works again.
Healing staffs and staying well fed still work when taking damage.
This prevents you from tanking damage in combat using healing items, making fights harder, poison, fire and stuff more dangerous, healing weapons more viable and dodging and keeping a full belly more important.
Any environmental damage also stops the healing (drowning, fall damage etc.). No more negating suffocation damage using salve.
To effectively heal in combat, you need to dodge attacks.
This mod is incompatible with anything that changes the healing effect. I don’t know of any, but warning you just in case.
