Mod Description

Features the Graf Zeppelin II aircraft carrier. Originally just made for pictures for my new wolfenstein inspired factions mod but was so much fun to mess around with i decided to post it along side the mod. In terms of gameplay, the best way to describe it would be like a mid 20th century steam puck galactica, especially with the Ba 349’s.

Questions & Answers:

Q: Why do i need to download your Wolfenstein Inspired Factions mod for this?
A: You don’t want to download the mod at all you don’t have to, the ship will load just fine and fully working, just without the user textures, i.e all the flags and posters. i included the mod itself and not it’s requirements because you only need the main Wolfenstein Inspired Factions mod for the user textures, none of its requirements are needed for this.

Q: How do i find it in game?
A: It’s not a mod so it wont show in your launcher. in the editor you need to press the groups key or F2 then click on the composition icon. click the first link in the description and watch the first video to see what those icons look like. ( the video is of him saving the comp but the location is the same )

Q: Why do some objects spawn underground/ all messed up?
A: You need to click off Vertical Mode & Surface Snapping before spawning any comp, click the first link in the description, there’s a section in the first part in the yellow box that’ll show you what the button looks like.

Q: Why does everything have a extra 20mm vulcan cannon?
A: Real reason, i’m not a good pilot. Lore reason, upgrade. does it make much sense, no. but is it fun, yeees.

Q: What are the rocket planes on the side for?
A: Gameplay wise they’re interceptors and last ditch escape pods… and really fun. lore wise i figure this carrier cant risk taking any damage, being even more vulnerable then its naval counterparts. but being already up in the air, once a hostile is identified on radar, interceptors can be launched with lighting speed ( not needing to waist time or fuel climbing to altitude) to intercept the aircraft before it could even enter weapons range.

Q: Do these planes work with the carrier ?
A: I don’t think so, at lest i couldn’t get them to. taking off isn’t a big a issue but if anyone knows a script that would give them the ability to catch the line on landing please let me know. currently the only way to land safely is a stall landing. it takes some getting used to but its not hard to do, just approach the stern from below instead of above. also don’t use the angled landing runway as there is a support for one of the zeppelins at the end so you wont be able to abort safely, instead land facing the same direction of the ship running along the length of it, like you would for old ww2 era carriers

Q: Why the odd assortment of planes?
A: Ho 229 is the fighter/ attacker/ bomber depending on their loadout, and Ba 349 is interceptor. I know that dons’t make much sense realistically, but neither does a zeppelin powered flying aircraft carrier.

Q: How do I load the pics?
A: In the editor place a user texture object, click on it and scroll to the bottom of the menu, in the area labelled "Texture #0" type "!Workshop@Wolfenstein Inspired FactionsaddonsWolfenstein LogosNAME OF PIC.jpg". the names are wolf1-20 for the logo’s/ patch’s, want1-4 for the wanted pictures, prop1-15 for the propaganda posters, nusa1-4 for the nazi usa flag pics, and blitz1-29 for the cartoon pics.

Known Bugs & Issues

– if user textures are completely black and not loading, just get close to them. idk why this works but it does
– planes don’t catch line on landing, so only current way to land safely is a stall landing. it takes some getting used to but its not hard to do. just approach the stern from below instead of above.
