Yondus Descent

This is a mod based on the Yondu’s Arrow mod I created a while ago -> https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=3142396909
While originally I wanted to create a playable character for the arrow in that mod, since it felt more entertaining than having both tears and the arrow. But when I made the character I felt it would be boring if all he was, was a re-skin of Isaac with the arrow. Resulting in a bunch more synergies, manual control of the arrow, unlockable items and more.

This mod was only made possible thanks to the wonderful script extension known as Repentogon. So for this mod to work you’ll need to install it in your game as well.

Play as the character Yondu Udonta, from Guardians of the Galaxy with his iconic Yaka arrow and the fin to control it. As Yondu the Yaka arrow has two methods of control:

Automatic targeting, where Yondu whistles to make the arrow automatically target a single enemy.

Manually control, allowing Yondu to remove poops and other obstacles.

The arrow can only target enemies in sight, meaning that they have to be visible on your screen.
Furthermore the arrow deals damage based on speed, while Yondus stats alters it in the following way:

Tear Damage: Increases damage.
Tear Rate: Increases tick rate, and increases the maximum number of hits before returning.
Shot Speed: Increases the Acceleration and Max velocity of the arrow.

The arrow also has over 40+ different synergies, altering the damage and behavior drastically depending on your run.

Lastly Yondu has a special mechanic when playing as him, wherein he is guaranteed to receive one of the unlockables the first time he enters a secret room. Using his arrow you can unlock a chest which contains the Infinity Stone replicator, which replicates the infinity stones from killed enemies. Do watch out though, since getting hit will make Yondu drop some of the stones, and his bounty increases the more you pickup.

Yondu’s headpiece {Moms heart} -> Unlocks the arrow control for other characters.
Found in the treasure room pool.
Trinket pocket knife {Isaac} -> Break or open locked chest by shooting them.
Bounty screen {Satan} -> Mark enemies that have bounties, killing them grants a reward.
Found in the shop pool.
Galactic Balance {Mega Satan} -> Cycle between three variants of stat equalizers, granting +% buff for the stat selected and minus for the others.
Found in the treasure room pool.
Infinity stone replicator {Delerium} -> Get more stats by killing enemies, but the more you gain the higher a bounty will be placed on you. When taking damage you drop some of the generated stones, but killing a boss without taking damage let’s you keep them permanently.
Found in the Secret room pool.

If you just want to play with the mod and don’t care for unlocking the items, or you’ve changed your mind about an unlock, use the following commands:

– unlocks an achievement.

– locks an achievement.

– unlocks all achievements.

– locks all achievements.

I am sure when playing with this you’ll find a bunch of bugs or problems with the mod, contact me and I’ll look at fixing it.
