Description:

BSZKRT type 70 motorized covered freight cars and type 71 motorized snow sweepers, known by their nicknames Mukik and Hómukik, are the work vehicles used for freight transport and track maintenance by BKV and their tramway predecessors. The carriage cabinets of these so-called freight trains were made by Roessemann and Kühnemann Rt., which mainly manufactures mining machines, on the order of the BSZKRT (Beszkárt) in 1926/1927, and then the electric drive system and other additional systems were installed in the cars by the BSZKRT itself, mostly the ones operating at the time by lifting the parts of tramcars, thus essentially building the electric freight locomotives that use the urban tramway. The vehicles later underwent various transformations and improvements, for example, some pieces were converted into snow sweepers or rail grinders, or they were given high-speed railway (MÁV-compatible), so-called corner stops.
