Description:

Maxwell’s failed experiment, now in DST.

Writhe is one of the shadow creatures, but he was mentally challenged, and could never fit in. So the others bullied him, trying to kill him off. Maxwell pitied Writhe, and defended him best he could. As he grew weaker, his last option was to send Writhe out into the open world, as far away from the other shadows as possible. Writhe sees Maxwell as his father figure.

STATS:
-Health =120
-Hunger = 180, and can only eat meat and nightmare fuel.
-Sanity = 40 and constantly drains. ("Slow sanity drain and restoration speed" option is available in config.)
Short vision
-Can’t equip any hand-slot items due to him having blades for arms. Instead he has the armguards and other tools listed below.

+Walks 1,25 times normal speed.
+Teleports a short distance when attacked and health level is below 75 .
+Attacks deal more damage over time. Instead of attacking once, he jumps into the air and wildly slashes at enemies. While he does more damage, this can not be interrupted and leaves him vulnerable. He also does lots a little more (18) of damage unarmed. You can turn off/on this special attack type in a config menu. Attack type can be switched by pressing X by default.

Can examine shadow creatures!

Eating nightmare fuel will give back:
10 sanity, 15 health and 20 hunger

Daddy’s Spare coat: The dapper coat Maxwell wears in adventure mode! While wearing it, Writhe will stop losing and gain sanity during the day, and the sanity loss during night is slowed by a lot.
upd:(Scalemail, summer vest,dragon fly armor, bearger vest, cactus vest, winter trunkvest, catcoon hat, thulecite armor, sweater vest regen sanity every second. Tophat, tam o’ Shanter, thulecite crown and slurper armor slows down sanity loss.)

Divine-O-Phones: They do play music, again.

Things Writhe can use one way or another: lazy explorer, star caller, feather fan, pan flute. He can also wield oars(they are tied by ropes). Water balloon, napsack – they explode when you equip them, other items from stack fall on the ground. I added lantern to the list of equippable items as it has ropes on in. Telelocator Staff – teleports you to the random location in a big radius.

As world in DST is more dangerous, i decided to buff his tool’s efficienty a bit.

Rather Plain Armguards: Works as a mining pick (mines at 50%) and axe(chops at 60%). Very slow!
Relatively low durability.

Swiss Arm-y Guards: Mines at 60% speed and chops at 70% normal. Plus, you can dig and shave with it. Good stability, deals 28 damage. Still slow. Requires science machine. Island adventures mod compatibility (first and second tool can be used as a machete).

Kingly Armguards: Mines at 80%(10% more durability loss), chops at 90%(10% more durability loss), can act like a shovel and hammer. High durability and deals 31 damage.. Requires Alchemy Engine.

Handy Man’s Maces: Gives and extra damage, and also functions as axe, hammer and thulecite club(20% to summon shadow tentacle). Requires a thulecite to craft. So you need to go to the ruins!
Chops at 80%, and hammers at 70%, low durability loss as a tool. Has 320 uses, 62 damage, slows you down by 5%.
Also can search for nearby chess marble pieces.

Flamey-Wamey Thingadoo: A long-lasting torch. Can be refilled with nightmare fuel or coal after running out of fuel. You can also shoot fireballs at enemies to ignite them, but this uses a lot of fuel. Ignites you if used to shoot fire on low sanity. Can be toggled like a lantern.

Mole-Whacker Mollet: Acts as a very weak hammer. Can also be used to whack moleworms. and pick them up to make the rain hat. Hammers at 50%, 80 uses.

Sticky Snatchers: Act as a bugnet. Simple as that. Now can be used as a weird fishing rod and pitchfork. Approx 12 uses.

Has some nightmare fuel, meat, silk and charcoal at the beginning.

New weapons
Forged blades: Is it a spear alternative? 36 damage, 420 durability.

Little spiked thing: Processed tentacle spikes, deals 50 damage and have 185 uses. Craft: 2 tentacle spikes, 2 ropes

Morningstar 2.0: Shoots lightning orbs, can’t be refilled. Has durability instead of a limited duration(46 uses).

Boomerang spitter: Mysterious apparatus that launches boomerang at you foes(you still need to catch it). It decreases sanity over time, and has a weird secret. It is available on magic tab.

Icy-dicey Thingadoo: You have to put Flamey-Wamey Thingadoo on the ground and insert blue gem inside. Works like ice staff, has 20 uses.

Cactus bat: Wish you could make some food bat, but can’t afford wasting that precious meat? Worry no longer! Spoils 20% slower, but deals 10% less damage than Hambat.

Bat Bat Bat: Leeches enemie’s health on hit. Has 42 damage, can be repaired with bat wings.

Pieces of Edge: based on Blacksmith’s Edge. Deals 32 damage and you have 25% chance to leap and crit on attack.

Pretty dark sword: finally, some good frckn damage. Drains sanity quickly but deals 70 damage per hit and restores a little amount of sanity at attack.

Glass cutters: analog to glass cutter weapon.

New abilities:
Additional pair of hands on the back is now useful! They create a shadow spike that damages your opponent if you were attacked from behind. Deals 20 damage+20% from current health. 50 seconds cooldown.
Third eye not blind: receive a protective shield after being knocked down. Coodown: 160 secs.

New items
Vortex cloak(from Hamlet): has 8 inventory slots like the Backpack and armor values that block all damage from any creatures other than Shadow Creatures and the Ancient Herald. Each hit removes wearer’s sanity equal to 30% of absorbed damage.
The Vortex Cloak can be refueled with Nightmare Fuel, which will increase its durability by 5% and lose 5 Sanity per every 1 Nightmare Fuel. Drops from Shadow chess pieces at phase 3.

Attached umbrella: Just an umbrella attached to the top of your head by silk.
Craft: 1 strawhat, 2 silk , 1 pigskin.
Ocean fishing rod: works the same way as Sea fishing rod except it can’t be used on low sanity.
