Have you ever wondered how four-story towers full of people openly calling themselves thieves exist in the middle of major cities? It doesn’t make much sense, surely the Trader’s Guild or the Noble Circle would remove them.

This mod addresses that question by converting the Shinobi Thieves into Burakumin, or untouchables, who perform necessary (according to the merchants and nobility) work related to killing and violence which are impure or dishonorable in the eyes of the public.

List of changes:
1. All characters converted to Burakumin or Ninja. Dialogue is different but not too far from what you’re used to.
2. Ninjas have a ranking system from Genin to Jonin. Genin complete low level missions guarding butchers or helping out around the Burakumin towers. Chunin guard the Burakumin towers and train the Genin. Jonin complete dangerous missions travelling the world alone. Some Jonin work for the Emperor and are called Imperial Jonin.
3. The Burakumin are the only faction in the Empire to sell raw animal meat and skins. Hive shops and Holy Farms are unchanged.
4. Weapon and armor lists modified, there are more possible clothing combinations than in the base game.

From Wikipedia: Burakumin is a term for Japanese people with occupations associated with kegare (穢れ, "defilement") during Japan’s feudal era, such as executioners, undertakers, slaughterhouse workers, butchers, or tanners. Burakumin acquired a hereditary status of untouchability during the Edo period.

Inspired by the Recruitable Prisoners mod and its dialogue for ninja characters. Please report bugs or oversight in the comments. Thank you for subscribing!
