[WOTC] Tactical Legacy Concealment
This mod aims to bring back the tension from EU/EW when walking into the fog of war. In the older games of the series Concealment was an unknown concept.
This mod quietly and permanently turns on the High Alert Dark Event which turns off Squad Concealment.
Individual concealment still works the way it was originally designed, giving Scout classes an even more important role in the game.
Squad Concealment was a core concept for the tactical balance of XCOM 2. This will make the game more difficult overall. To account for this, I tweaked a couple other small things:
- Auto-enables the Private Channel Resistance Card (+turns on mission timers) and removes it from being selectable
- All Ambush missions triggered off of Covert Actions can be configured to always include the Black Ops (conceal each turn if not seen) SitRep. MUST BE TURNED ON IN CONFIGS. THIS IS OFF BY DEFAULT.
- Disables the Stealth Insertion and Black Ops SitReps for general consumption
- Removes the Infiltrate & Lightning Strike Resistance Cards
Should be configured to play nice with base WOTC and Covert Infiltration. As long as LWOTC doesn’t add anything extra related to concealment SitReps/Dark Events then it should play nice as well.
